College Prep Program | CPA²
The CPA College Prep Program (CPA²) supports the academic and social needs of students who show high academic achievement and leadership potential. The CPA² program was developed to prepare CPA scholars to succeed in college and develop leadership skills that will enable them to positively impact their community.
The program’s mission is to ensure scholars in the CPA² program are academically, financially, and socially
prepared to successfully navigate To and Through College.
The vision for scholars in the CPA² program is to obtain the proficiency and efficacy that positions them to obtain postsecondary achievement in ways that have a positive impact in their life, community, and world.
ADMISSIONS
Selected participants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, must be proficient/advanced on two or more MAP assessments; have no significant discipline infractions; 90% attendance or higher; and teacher & administrator recommendations.
CURRICULUM
Students will be enrolled in rigorous college readiness coursework. The curriculum includes:
honors, advanced placement, dual credit and enrollment, and leadership classes.
THE DRESS CODE
Students must abide by the smart casual dress code by wearing a blue cardigan sweater or
vest, white oxford shirt, black tie, khaki or black dickies pants/skirts on designated days.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
PLTW, National Honor Society, robotics, dance & cheerleading, student government,
leadership club, women of success, science club, choir, strings & jazz band.
