Statewide results for the 2017 Missouri Assessment Program were presented to the state board of education yesterday, August 15, by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Every spring, students in grades 3-8 who attend public schools, including charter schools, take the annual MAP test in English language arts and math; grades 5 and 8 are also tested in science. The tests are based on Missouri Learning Standards.
The statewide results show slight increases in all content areas and grade levels from the previous year. You can read DESE’s statement about the 2017 MAP scores, which includes graphs with breakdowns of the results.
Typically, MAP results for districts are made public in the fall. Once they’re made public, we’ll share the overall results for both Confluence and Grand Center Arts Academy LEAs, as well as individual schools.
