To our students and families - As we get close to the first day of school - August 15 - we want to remind you that school hours are different in 2017-2018. We announced the change in late May, but it's worth another reminder.
In looking at ways to positively impact student achievement, Confluence Charter Schools has adjusted its school day hours for 2017-2018.
Aspire Academy, Confluence Academy-Old North, Confluence Academy-South City, Confluence Preparatory Academy and Elite Academy will have different start and dismissal times. School day hours will not change for Grand Center Arts Academy.
There are positive benefits for students:
- Aspire, Old North and South City students will have 75 minutes a day, (an hour and 15 minutes) to focus on What I Need (WIN) or remedial time in math and English language arts.
- CPA and Elite Academy students will have a later start time, which means students will not have to be at the bus stop as early in the morning.
- CPA and Elite Academy students will have seven class periods per day, down from eight classes.
