It’s the first year that early dismissals, or half days, are planned for Confluence Charter Schools, and it’s necessary to remind parents and students of the dates and school hours.
Early dismissals are scheduled on six dates: September 14, October 12, December 14, February 8, March 8 and May 10. The dates are listed on the 2016-2017 academic calendar, which is available online and in the main office of your child’s school.
On early dismissal days, students will attend school in the morning; breakfast and lunch will be served. Teachers and staff will have professional development in the afternoon.
The early dismissal hours for the campuses are:
Confluence Preparatory Academy, Elite Academy, 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Grand Center Arts Academy, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Aspire Academy, Old North, South City, 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Parents, your child will arrive at the bus stop 3 ½ hours EARLIER than a normal school day. For example, if your child gets off the bus at 4:30 p.m. on a FULL school day, he/she will get off the bus at 1:00 p.m. on an EARLY DISMISSAL day.
Parents of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children – Your child will not be released from the school bus if an adult is not present at the stop. Please make arrangements to meet your child at the bus on early dismissal days.
